Brentwood High School hit the road to take on district rival Dickson County but showed no worse for the wear, destroying the Cougars 56-7.
The Bruins, who improved to 2-1 on the season including 2-0 in the district, racked up 472 yards of total offense. Dickson County, who came into the game undefeated with a 2-0 record, could only manage on score in the second quarter.
Sophomore quarterback Cade Granzow finished the game with 113 yards and a touchdown, completing 14 of his 17 passes.
It was the Bruin ground game that made the difference.
Jordan Nicholas had 92 yards rushing and three touchdowns on only eight carries.
Michael Burke and Luke Walters also added to touchdowns a piece of on the ground in the second half for the Bruins. Chayce Bishop had six catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. Michael Burke and Luke Walters also added to touchdowns.
